Appearances

Percy is a small green saddle tank engine who is one of Junior's toy trains. He originates from the British Railway Series books, but is best known for his appearances in the television adaptation Thomas & Friends.

Biography[]

Percy is based of the character from the popular book series The Railway Series. He made his first appearance in The Railway Series book Troublesome Engines in the story Trouble in the Sheds. The book was first published on 15 January 1950 in the UK. The book series was adapted into the even more popular television series Thomas & Friends. He made his first appearance in the television series episode Trouble in the Sheds, which is an adaption of the story from Troublesome Engines with the exact same name. The episode first aired on 27 November 1984 in the UK. As of his debut many toys of him have be produced. The one that Junior found was seen at a Toys "R" Us in Pensacola, Florida in the United States. In the video Bowser Junior's Summer Vacation, Bowser Junior went to Toys R Us and couldn’t decide on what engine to get. Eventually, he got both Percy and Diesel.

Appearance[]

Just like Thomas, he is based off a Wooden Railway Percy. In real life, he is based of a GWR Avonside Saddle Tank locomotive but painted in NWR Green and numbered 6.

Trivia[]

  • He is sometimes depicted with a Take Along Henry's tender even though in the show he doesn't have a tender.
  • After Salty got burnt and Golden Thomas got taken away, he appears the second most out of all the trains, first being Thomas.
    • Although despite this, he doesn't appear that often.
  • In Big Ears!, Junior says that someone stole his middle wheel, even though he doesn’t actually have a middle wheel.
